A quick and delicious Chicken Parmesan recipe that you can whip up in just 30 minutes, featuring crispy chicken, marinara sauce, and gooey cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound them to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
  3. Season the chicken on both sides generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Set up three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with the beaten eggs, and a third with a mix of breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
  5. Dip each piece of chicken in the flour, shaking off the excess, then coat in the egg mixture, and finally press into the breadcrumb mix until well covered.
  6. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Pour marinara sauce over each piece of chicken and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Transfer the skillet to your preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melty and bubbly.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
