A warm, cheesy breakfast casserole made with crispy tater tots, savory breakfast sausage, and gooey cheddar cheese, perfect for family brunch or a hearty start to the day.

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully browned and drain any excess grease.
  3. Whisk together the eggs and milk, seasoning with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Spread cooked sausage evenly in the baking dish and top with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Arrange frozen tater tots over the sausage and cheese layer.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layers.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  8. Bake uncovered for 40 to 45 minutes until eggs are set and tater tots are golden brown.
