A delightful and healthy take on classic Chicken Parmesan, cooked in the air fryer for a crispy, guilt-free dinner.

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Dip each chicken breast into the beaten egg, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  4. Coat the chicken thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Arrange the breaded chicken in the air fryer basket and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  6. Cook for about 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden and cooked through.
  7. Remove the chicken from the air fryer and top each piece with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Return it to the air fryer and cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider double-dipping your chicken in the breadcrumbs. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
