A healthier take on classic Chicken Parmesan, featuring crispy air-fried chicken breasts topped with mozzarella and marinara.

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. Mix breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Dip each chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring full coverage.
  4. Arrange the coated chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  5. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown.
  6. Top each breast with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Return the chicken to the air fryer for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, flatten the chicken slightly for even cooking and add herbs or spices to the breadcrumb mixture for a flavor boost.
