Deliciously nutritious Air Fryer Protein Bagels made with cottage cheese for a protein-packed delight. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a snack.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons cottage cheese (2% or 4%)
  • 1 egg (optional)
  • Toppings: everything seasoning, sesame seeds, poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour and baking powder. Add a pinch of salt if desired.
  2. Create a well in the center of the dry mix and pour in the cottage cheese. Stir until a chunky dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 1-2 minutes until it becomes semi-smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into four equal sections and roll each portion into a log. Shape into bagels by joining the ends.
  5. If using, brush the bagels with egg wash and sprinkle toppings on top.
  6. Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C). Place the bagels in the basket and air fry for 15-17 minutes or until golden and baked through.
  7. Allow the bagels to cool for about 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days in the fridge, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the air fryer or toaster.
