Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, diced apple, cinnamon, maple syrup, and salt.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. When it reaches a boil, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir occasionally until the oats are cooked and the mixture becomes creamy.
  5. Remove from heat and let it sit for a minute to thicken.
  6. Serve warm and add your choice of toppings.

Notes

For a creamier texture, let the oatmeal simmer longer or add more almond milk. Feel free to customize toppings.
