Delicious baked chicken parmesan, featuring crispy chicken, rich marinara sauce, and gooey melted cheese. Perfect for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for drizzling
  • Cooked spaghetti (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix together the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Coat each chicken breast with a light drizzle of olive oil.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture until thoroughly coated.
  5. Arrange the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
  7. Remove the chicken from the oven and spoon marinara sauce generously over each breast.
  8. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  9. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Serve hot over cooked spaghetti.

Ensure even cooking by using chicken breasts of similar size; consider pounding them slightly. Don’t skip the olive oil for best results.
