A comforting Italian dish featuring tender chicken breasts with crispy breadcrumbs and melty mozzarella topping, perfect for busy weeknights or special gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the grated Parmesan, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over each chicken breast, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  4. Dredge the oiled chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to ensure it sticks well.
  5. Place the coated chicken in a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked through.
  7. Remove the dish and generously pour marinara sauce over each piece of chicken.
  8. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly on top of the sauce.
  9. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken. If short on time, use store-bought marinara.
