A classic Italian-American comfort food that combines crispy chicken, rich marinara, and melted cheese, perfect for weeknight meals or gatherings.

  • 4 chicken cutlets
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
  3. Dredge each chicken cutlet in the breadcrumb mixture until completely coated.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the chicken cutlets for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  5. Transfer the browned cutlets to a baking dish.
  6. Top each cutlet with marinara sauce and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and the chicken is cooked through.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Can be reheated gently in the oven.
