A creamy, savory chicken dish with a rich cream cheese sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or impressing guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives (chopped)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Add the minced garlic to the same skillet, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Stir in the chicken broth and allow it to simmer for 1-2 minutes to reduce slightly.
  7. Mix in the softened cream cheese, stirring until the mixture is smooth. Add chives and additional salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Place the seared chicken in the prepared baking dish and pour the cream cheese mixture over it. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, if desired.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Broil for an extra 2-3 minutes for a golden topping.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving warm.
