A delightful dish that combines the zesty brightness of lemon with rich, buttery baked chicken. Perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Arrange the chicken breasts in a 13×9 inch baking dish.
  3. Drizzle the lemon juice evenly over the chicken.
  4. Combine the lemon pepper, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Sprinkle this seasoning mix evenly over the chicken.
  5. Place a tablespoon of butter on top of each chicken breast and scatter the remaining pieces around the dish.
  6. Slice your lemon and arrange the slices on and around the chicken.
  7. Bake uncovered for 30-45 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, marinate the chicken in lemon juice and spices for a couple of hours before baking. Ensure even thickness for uniform cooking. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes after baking for optimal tenderness.
