Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuits
  • 6 large eggs

  • 1 packet gravy mix (or homemade gravy)

Instructions

  3. Chop the refrigerated biscuits into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Combine the eggs, milk, and prepared gravy in a large bowl, whisking until well mixed.
  5. Spread the biscuit pieces evenly across the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, then layer the cooked sausage over them.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the biscuit and sausage layers.
  7. Top with the shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a lighter dish, swap breakfast sausage for turkey or chicken sausage, and use lactose-free milk as a substitute for those with dietary restrictions.
