Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Open the can of biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters.
  3. Spread the biscuit pieces evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Season with a pinch of salt and a dash of pepper.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the biscuit pieces, making sure everything is well-coated.
  6. Evenly sprinkle the crumbled sausage and shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is set and has a golden brown top.
  8. Allow the dish to cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions, if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, sauté onions or bell peppers with the sausage before adding to the casserole. Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge overnight before baking.
