A comforting breakfast grilled cheese that combines the warmth of grilled cheese with the heartiness of a breakfast plate.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 slices of cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter.
  2. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook them until they reach your desired doneness.
  3. In the same skillet, place one slice of bread and add a slice of cheese on top.
  4. Once the eggs are done, gently place them on top of the cheese. Season with salt and pepper, then cover with the second slice of bread.
  5. Cook until the bottom slice is golden brown and crispy. Carefully flip the sandwich and repeat until the other side is golden.
  6. Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve hot.

Notes

For a healthier option, use whole grain bread. You can also personalize your grill cheese with different cheese varieties and toppings.
