A quick and delicious recipe for creamy and cheesy chicken breasts that are perfect for busy weeknights.

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Blend the sour cream, shredded cheese, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper until creamy and smooth.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  4. Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper. Sear them in the skillet for about 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the seared chicken breasts to a baking dish. Generously spread the creamy sour cream mixture over each breast.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
