Tender chicken breasts coated in a creamy garlic sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or a special dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken: Sprinkle salt and pepper over the chicken breasts. Lightly dredge each piece in flour to create a light coating.
  2. Sear the chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until they are golden brown. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Caramelize onions: In the same skillet, add butter and sliced onions. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the onions are caramelized.
  4. Sauté garlic: Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Make the sauce: Pour in the heavy cream, stirring well, and let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Combine: Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring each piece is coated in the creamy sauce.
  7. Garnish: Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Don’t rush the caramelization; it enhances flavor. Pound the chicken for even cooking. Adjust sauce consistency with broth or cream if needed.
