A delicious and comforting Chicken Parmesan recipe with crispy chicken, rich marinara, and melted mozzarella cheese.

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Generously season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Beat the egg in a shallow dish until well mixed.
  4. Combine breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in another dish.
  5. Dip each chicken breast into the egg, ensuring it soaks thoroughly.
  6. Coat the chicken with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently.
  7. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  8. Fry the breaded chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  9. Transfer the fried chicken to a baking dish.
  10. Pour marinara sauce over each piece, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  11. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and chicken is fully cooked.
  12. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 10-15 minutes.
