A classic Italian dish featuring tender breaded chicken, tangy marinara, and gooey melted cheese, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Generously season each chicken breast with salt and pepper.
  3. Dredge the chicken thoroughly in flour, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  4. Dip the flour-coated chicken into the beaten eggs, letting the excess drip off.
  5. Press the chicken into the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture, coating well.
  6. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Fry the breaded chicken for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  7. Place the fried chicken in a baking dish. Cover each piece with marinara sauce and generously sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Serve hot, paired with pasta or a fresh salad for a delightful meal.

Notes

Leftover Chicken Parmesan can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For reheating, place it in a preheated oven or skillet for the best texture.
