A classic Chicken Parmesan recipe featuring crunchy breadcrumbs, rich marinara sauce, and gooey mozzarella that is perfect for family dinners or a cozy date night.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season each chicken breast generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Beat the eggs until smooth in a bowl. Combine the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in another bowl.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the beaten eggs, ensuring it’s fully coated. Press into the breadcrumb mixture to cover.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they’re golden brown.
  6. Place the fried chicken in a baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over each piece and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the chicken is thoroughly cooked.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil before serving hot.
