A classic Chicken Parmesan recipe featuring crispy fried chicken, tangy marinara sauce, and gooey mozzarella cheese.

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • Olive oil for frying
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Using a meat mallet or rolling pin, flatten each chicken breast to an even thickness.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs. In another bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Take each chicken breast, dip it in the beaten eggs, and then coat it thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the coated chicken until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and top with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding herbs to the breadcrumb mixture.
