A comforting Chicken Parmesan recipe with crispy chicken, melted mozzarella, and rich marinara sauce served over spaghetti.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs or breasts (pounded to make evenly thin)
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko)
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp dried basil
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • Spaghetti (for serving)
  • Marinara sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Mix together the breadcrumbs, grated parmesan, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dried basil until well combined.
  3. Coat each pounded chicken piece thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring both sides are well covered.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the breaded chicken on top.
  5. Bake the chicken for 15 minutes; then flip each piece and continue baking for another 10 minutes or until the juices run clear and the internal temperature reaches 170°F (77°C).
  6. Once cooked, place a slice of mozzarella on each piece of chicken and return to the oven for 2-3 minutes, just until the cheese melts.
  7. Serve the Chicken Parmesan over a bed of spaghetti, generously topped with rich marinara sauce.

Notes

Garnish with fresh basil or parsley for added flavor and color. Pair with a side salad and crisp white wine.
