Chicken Parmesan Casserole brings a comforting twist to the classic Italian dish, combining the rich flavors of chicken, marinara, and melted cheese into a single, mouthwatering dish.

  • 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (e.g., penne or rotini)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the shredded chicken, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine and cook for about 5 minutes until warmed through.
  4. Combine the cooked pasta, marinara sauce, half of the Parmesan cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese in a mixing bowl. Stir until well combined.
  5. Fold in the seasoned chicken mixture, ensuring everything is evenly mixed.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
  8. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!

Use rotisserie chicken for a quicker option and extra flavor. Don’t skip on seasoning—the spices truly elevate the dish.
