Chicken Parmesan & Pasta Casserole

A comforting dish blending tender chicken, rich marinara, and gooey cheese with pasta. Perfect for family dinners or entertaining guests.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked pasta (like penne or rotini)
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add the pasta and cook until al dente. Once done, drain and set aside.
  3. If you haven’t cooked your chicken yet, do that now. Once cooked, allow it to cool slightly before shredding into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Mix the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese generously on top.
  6. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and beautifully golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Optionally, garnish with fresh basil or parsley.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the pasta to prevent a mushy texture. You can customize the casserole with veggie add-ins or different meats for variety.
