A delicious and comforting chicken Parmesan with crispy chicken, gooey cheese, and flavorful marinara sauce.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels, then season them with salt and pepper.
  3. Set up your breading station: Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and mix breadcrumbs with Parmesan in a third bowl.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip it into the egg, and then coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown.
  6. Transfer the fried chicken to your prepared baking sheet.
  7. Spoon marinara sauce over each piece of chicken, then sprinkle generously with shredded mozzarella.
  8. Bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

Consider serving with a side of spaghetti or a crisp green salad. Pair it with chianti or Italian soda for a complete meal.
