Cinnamon French Toast Sticks are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, covered in a cinnamon-sugar coating, making them a delightful breakfast treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces thickly sliced toast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk (evaporated or any non-dairy alternative)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 45 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/21 tablespoon cinnamon powder
  • Butter (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting away the crusts from each slice of toast, then slice them into sticks about an inch thick.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and salt until well combined.
  3. On a separate plate, mix the sugar and cinnamon for coating the sticks.
  4. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Dip each toast stick into the egg-milk mixture, making sure all sides are coated well. Allow any excess to drip off.
  6. Place the coated sticks in the hot pan, making sure they don’t touch. Fry until golden brown on all sides, turning occasionally for even cooking.
  7. Once cooked, transfer the sticks to the cinnamon-sugar mix and roll to coat them evenly.
  8. Serve warm and repeat this process with any remaining sticks.

Notes

Serve with maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream for an elevated experience.
