A delicious twist on traditional donuts, transforming them into a moist, flavorful loaf perfect for breakfast or brunch.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk together the melted butter, egg, milk, and vanilla extract in another bowl until well blended.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined.
  5. Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Mix the remaining 1/4 cup sugar with 1 tablespoon cinnamon in a shallow dish while the bread is baking.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before rolling it in the cinnamon-sugar mixture while it’s still warm.
  9. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze slices for up to 3 months.
