A comforting dish of tender chicken thighs in a rich, creamy garlic sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season both sides of the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the seasoned chicken thighs for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. Lower the heat to medium, adding butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until fragrant—about 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth, gently scraping the pan to lift any browned bits.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning; simmer for 3 to 4 minutes to thicken slightly.
  7. Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  8. Return the chicken to the skillet, letting it simmer in the sauce for 5 to 7 minutes until fully cooked.
  9. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot!

Notes

For a lighter version, use low-fat cream; for added flavor, consider adding sun-dried tomatoes or spinach.
