Silky, garlicky mashed potatoes that are perfect for weeknight dinners or holiday feasts.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel and quarter the potatoes.
  2. Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  4. Add butter, sour cream, minced garlic, and grated Parmesan cheese to the potatoes.
  5. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve warm.
