A delightful dish that combines tender chicken with a rich and creamy white wine sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, sautéing for about 5 minutes until tender and fragrant.
  5. Pour in the white wine, scraping the bits from the bottom of the pan to deglaze. Allow it to simmer for a few minutes to reduce slightly.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and continue cooking until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the creamy sauce.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, substitute white wine with chicken broth. Use different mushrooms for varied flavors.
