A comforting and indulgent chicken dish with a crunchy breadcrumb coating, topped with marinara and melted mozzarella.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, stir together the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture, making sure to press down for an even layer.
  4. Arrange the prepared chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake in your preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the crust is golden brown.
  6. Spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast, then sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish each piece with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider swapping mozzarella for a lower-fat type and using gluten-free breadcrumbs.
