A classic dish that beautifully marries tender chicken with a crunchy crust, smothered in marinara and mozzarella.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the coated chicken breasts for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the fried chicken to a baking dish. Generously cover each breast with marinara sauce and top with mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Serve your Crispy Chicken Parmesan with pasta or a fresh side salad.

Notes

For an extra crunch, swap breadcrumbs for panko or use gluten-free options. Let the chicken sit at room temperature before cooking for better results.
