  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked pasta for serving
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Season the chicken generously with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Pour the marinara sauce over the chicken, ensuring it’s well-coated.
  4. Set the slow cooker to low for 360 minutes or high for 240 minutes until the chicken is tender.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top and cover.
  6. Serve the flavorful chicken over cooked pasta, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
