Crispy, smoky chicken wings coated with a flavorful dry rub, perfect for game day or weeknight dinners.

  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (or preheat your air fryer to 380°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne.
  3. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and place them in a large bowl.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the wings and toss to coat.
  5. Add the spice blend to the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.
  6. For oven baking: Arrange the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway. For air frying: Arrange the wings in the air fryer basket and cook at 380°F for about 25-30 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  7. Once crispy and cooked through, remove from heat and serve immediately.

Notes

Wings can be refrigerated for up to 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for the best texture.
