  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix together the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese until well combined.
  3. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the beaten egg, coating well.
  5. Press the chicken into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring an even coating.
  6. Arrange the breaded chicken on a baking sheet and drizzle lightly with olive oil for added crispiness.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Remove from the oven and spoon marinara sauce generously over each breast, then top with mozzarella cheese.
  9. Return to the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 5-7 minutes more.
