A quick and delicious chicken dish with marinara sauce and melted cheese, perfect for weeknight dinners.

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Generously season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Drizzle the bottom of an oven-safe dish with olive oil and lay the chicken breasts flat on top.
  4. Pour marinara sauce evenly over each chicken breast, ensuring full coverage.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top, followed by the grated parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake in your preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
