A comforting dish featuring crispy chicken, gooey cheese, and vibrant tomato sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups garlicky tomato sauce
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for baking

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Generously season each chicken breast with salt and pepper.
  3. Combine breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in a medium bowl.
  4. Dip each seasoned chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place the breaded chicken on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
  7. Top each breast with garlicky tomato sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Return to the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil leaves just before serving.
