A comforting and rewarding Italian classic, Easy Chicken Parmesan features breaded chicken topped with melted cheese and a flavorful vegetable sauce.

  • 2 Chicken Breasts
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Seasoned Bread Crumbs
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper, chopped
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
  • 1 tbsp Italian Herbs Paste
  • 1 cup Tomato Purée
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 cup Fresh Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Flatten the chicken breasts for even cooking.
  3. Dip each chicken piece into flour, then into beaten eggs, and finally into the seasoned bread crumbs.
  4. Sauté chopped onions, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper in olive oil until tender.
  5. Stir in the garlic paste and Italian herbs paste, mixing until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the tomato purée and season the sauce with Italian seasoning. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
  7. Arrange the breaded chicken in a baking dish and cover each piece with the vegetable sauce mixture.
  8. Top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  10. Serve hot, sprinkle with crushed red pepper if desired.

Notes

For best results, pound the chicken to an even thickness and allow breaded chicken to rest before baking.
