  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  2. Mix together the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in a separate bowl, ensuring even distribution.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  4. Dredge the seasoned chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Place the chicken into the hot skillet.
  5. Cook the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Pour marinara sauce over the chicken, then top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Cover the skillet and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and ensure the chicken is cooked through.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil before serving, if desired.
