A simple and satisfying Chicken Parmesan recipe that brings the comfort of Italy to your dinner table in under 45 minutes.

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap; pound them to an even thickness. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Set up a breading station: one dish with flour, another with beaten eggs, and a third with a mixture of breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, covering completely. Dip into the egg, letting excess drip off, then coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Transfer the fried chicken to a baking dish and pour marinara sauce over each piece. Sprinkle generously with mozzarella.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
