A quick and easy French bread pizza that combines garlic-buttered bread, tangy sauce, gooey mozzarella, and crispy pepperoni for a comforting weeknight meal.

  • 1 loaf of French bread
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Optional toppings (e.g., bell peppers, onions, olives)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the French bread in half lengthwise.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter and minced garlic, then spread it over the cut sides of the bread.
  4. Place the bread on a baking sheet lined with foil.
  5. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the bread.
  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Add pepperoni and any other desired toppings.
  8. Bake in the oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Optionally, broil for 1–2 minutes for a bronzed top.
  9. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, slice, and serve.

Notes

Use day-old French bread for a firmer base. Feel free to experiment with cheese and toppings for different flavors.
