A timeless comfort food that features tender chicken breasts coated in garlic and Parmesan breadcrumbs, topped with marinara and mozzarella.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Dip each chicken breast in olive oil, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  4. Coat each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture, making sure all sides are covered.
  5. Arrange the coated chicken in a single layer in a baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and generously top each chicken breast with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Return the dish to the oven for another 10-15 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. This dish can also be frozen. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C).
