Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Add the trimmed green beans to the bowl and stir to coat them in the creamy mixture.
  4. Pour the green bean mixture into a baking dish and spread it out evenly. Bake for 30 minutes, uncovered.
  5. Remove the dish from the oven and stir in 1/2 cup of French fried onions.
  6. Top with the remaining fried onions and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown and crisp.
  7. Let the casserole rest for a few minutes, then serve hot.

Notes

For variations, stir in shredded cheddar cheese for extra flavor or use toasted breadcrumbs instead of fried onions for a healthier option.
