A classic Italian dish featuring tender chicken breasts coated in crispy breadcrumbs and smothered in marinara sauce and gooey mozzarella cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil
  • Spaghetti or zucchini noodles
  • Caesar salad (optional)
  • Cheesy pull-apart bread (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season each chicken breast generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Combine the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in a shallow dish.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down so the crumbs stick.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish. Top with marinara sauce followed by a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Serve the Chicken Parmesan over spaghetti or zucchini noodles with optional Caesar salad and cheesy pull-apart bread.

Notes

For a flavorful twist, consider using panko breadcrumbs or substituting marinara with pesto. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
