Fluffy and comforting pancakes, perfect for lazy mornings or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Additional butter for cooking

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Stir well.
  2. Whisk the milk, egg, and melted butter in another bowl until blended.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. It’s okay if there are a few lumps!
  4. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add a small pat of butter to grease the surface.
  5. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until bubbles form on the surface and the edges start to look set.
  7. Flip the pancake and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm with maple syrup, fresh berries, whipped cream, or chocolate chips.

Notes

For fluffier pancakes, let the batter rest for about 5 minutes. Ensure your skillet is preheated adequately for the perfect golden color.
