Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 jalapeños
  • 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp green onion (chopped)
  • 1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 6 oz bacon (cooked and chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment.
  2. Halve the jalapeños lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, garlic, salt, pepper, green onion, cheddar cheese, and bacon until smooth.
  4. Fill each jalapeño half with the cream-cheese mixture until level with the pepper sides.
  5. Place stuffed jalapeños on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and tops are lightly golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For milder poppers, remove all seeds and membranes. Substitute with turkey bacon for a lower fat option. Ensure cream cheese is at room temp for easier blending.
