A crispy and cheesy chicken dish inspired by the beloved Longhorn Steakhouse recipe, perfect for family dinners.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Blend together olive oil, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Rub this mixture all over the chicken breasts thoroughly.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the seasoned chicken. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Mix panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, melted butter, mayonnaise, dried parsley, and the remaining 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder in another bowl.
  6. Place the seared chicken in a baking dish and generously spread the cheesy mixture on top.
  7. Bake for approximately 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

For a crunchier topping, broil for the last few minutes of baking. Swap out the cheeses or add fresh herbs for variations.
