A creamy, savory dish featuring tender chicken, pillowy gnocchi, and a luscious sauce that’s quick to prepare and sure to win hearts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 lb store-bought gnocchi
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, oregano, and thyme.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the chicken for about 6–7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Once done, remove the chicken and set it aside.
  4. Lower the heat to medium and add the minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until it becomes fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, ensuring to scrape up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Stir in the oregano and thyme. Allow the sauce to simmer for around 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  7. Add the gnocchi to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes until they are well-coated and warmed through.
  8. Slice the seared chicken, return it to the skillet, and gently mix everything together.
  9. Plate your delicious creation and consider garnishing with fresh herbs or a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese for an extra special touch.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider using half-and-half instead of heavy cream. Fresh herbs can enhance flavor.
