A comforting Chicken Parmesan recipe with a creamy topping and bubbling marinara, perfect for weeknight dinners.

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts ( pounds), skinless
  • 1 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry, arranging them in a single layer in your prepared dish.
  3. Blend the mayonnaise (or yogurt), Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a medium bowl to form a thick, creamy paste.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly over each chicken breast, covering them completely.
  5. Bake the chicken uncovered for 30–40 minutes, until the topping is golden and the chicken’s internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Broil on high for 1-3 minutes for extra browning, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
  7. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a lighter option, swap out mayonnaise for Greek yogurt. Serve with a salad, roasted vegetables, or garlic bread.
