  • Salt

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound the chicken breasts evenly, ensuring they’re tender.
  3. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  4. Set up your breading station: Place flour in one dish, beaten eggs in another, and combine breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan in a third dish.
  5. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip it into the beaten eggs, and fully coat it with the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture.
  6. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the chicken on both sides for about 3-4 minutes each, ensuring they’re golden and crispy.
  7. Transfer the browned chicken into a baking dish.
  8. Spoon marinara sauce generously over each piece of chicken and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake in your preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
