A delightful twist on a classic breakfast staple featuring the rich notes of Earl Grey tea and the satisfying texture of chia seeds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)
  • 1 teaspoon Earl Grey tea leaves (or one tea bag)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
  • Fresh fruit for topping (e.g., berries, banana)
  • Nuts or seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, warm the almond milk over low heat until steaming but not boiling.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the Earl Grey tea leaves. Allow to steep for about 5 minutes.
  3. Strain out the tea leaves, returning the infused milk to the pan.
  4. Mix in the chia seeds, adding maple syrup if desired for sweetness.
  5. Transfer to bowls or a container, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight to thicken.
  6. Before serving, stir well and top with fresh fruit and optional nuts or seeds.

Notes

For an extra creamy texture, blend your soaked seeds with the milk before refrigerating. Consider adding a splash of vanilla extract for more flavor.
